I like to draw what I know so this piece is somewhat biographical. In November of 2023 I lost a young family member who had a hard life, but I always admired. Although my cousin may not have made the best decisions, he was a beam of light whenever I got the off chance to see him. He always had a soft spot for sharing his hobbies with me. Those hobbies really shaped all my interest today so I wanted to take the time to not just do this for my cousin, who I miss, but my aunt, uncle, and family who are still mourning.
